Jesmae Salt will test your pH levels for FREE. Simply drop off at our shop a pint-sized jar of water from your home. (Do not use an old olive or pickle jar as those jars may affect pH levels.)

Iron in Water
When the level of iron in water exceeds the 0.3 mg/l limit, there is a noticeable red, brown, or yellow staining of laundry, glassware, dishes and household fixtures such as bathtubs and sinks. The water may also have a metallic taste and an offensive odor. Water system piping and fixtures can also become restricted or clogged. [ read more ]

The pH Level of Water
The pH level of your drinking water reflects how acidic it is. pH stands for “potential hydrogen,” referring to the amount of hydrogen mixed with the water. pH is measured on a scale that runs from 0 to 14. Seven is neutral, indicating there is no acid or alkalinity present. A measurement below 7 indicates acid is present and a measurement above 7 indicates alkalinity. [ read more ]
